Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has donated ₦10 million to the families of two police officers who lost their lives during an attack by the Lakurawa sect in Natsini village, Augie Local Government Area.

The donation was presented to the Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, alongside the families of the deceased officers, by the governor's representatives: State Director of Security Abdulraham Usman and Danko Wasagu Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu-Bena.

Governor Idris urged the families to accept the loss as God's will and reiterated his administration's commitment to supporting security agencies in the state. He commended the gallantry of the officers in combating crime, stating that their sacrifices would not go unnoticed.

Each family received ₦5 million from the state government. The governor prayed for God to grant the families the strength to bear their loss.

In response, the Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello M. Sani, expressed gratitude to the governor for his consistent support of security personnel. He noted that the financial assistance would greatly aid the families of ASP Bala Audu and Inspector Bashar Mohammed, who died in active service defending their community.

The commissioner also encouraged the families to use the donation wisely to support their livelihoods.

The two officers were killed during a recent attack by the Lakurawa sect in Natsini village, a tragic incident that underscores the sacrifices made by security forces in the line of duty.
