The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Prestige FM Chapel, has elected new leaders to oversee the affairs of the union for the next three years.
The election was conducted in accordance with the constitution of the NUJ, resulting in Sani Muhammad Sani emerging as the new Chairman. Other elected executives include Aisha Muhammad Kudu as Secretary, Nurudeen Isyaku Daza as Assistant Secretary, Juliana Anyansi as Treasurer, and Rahmat Hassan Lemu as Financial Secretary.
During the inauguration of the new executive team, the State NUJ Secretary, Comrade Usman Chiji, urged the leaders to adhere strictly to the union's constitution to promote professionalism and accountability. He also encouraged them to build on the achievements of their predecessors to further strengthen the chapel.
The Executive Director of Prestige FM Radio Minna, Yusuf Ladan, congratulated the newly elected executives and called on them to lead with love, tolerance, and honesty in all their dealings.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Comrade Sani Muhammad Sani, expressed gratitude to the state NUJ leadership for ensuring the smooth conduct of the election. He pledged to uphold the constitutional provisions of the union while discharging his duties and working towards the progress of the chapel.
