The Senator representing Katsina West, Hon. Muntari Dandutse, has launched the distribution of assorted seedlings and farming inputs to over 2,000 small-scale farmers in his constituency to support dry-season farming.
The distributed inputs include rice and maize seeds, as well as essential agricultural chemicals. Additionally, Senator Dandutse provided tricycles (Keke Napep) to committee members across the zone as part of his broader effort to create economic opportunities.
Speaking at the event, he emphasized that the initiative aligns with his commitment to reducing unemployment and engaging young people in productive ventures. He also distributed food items worth over one billion naira as part of a Ramadan welfare package to ease the burden of fasting for his constituents.
Senator Dandutse reiterated that his contributions to the people stem from his sense of duty as their representative. He clarified that he currently has no intention of seeking re-election, stating, "Our lives belong to God, and when the time comes, we should do whatever we can to serve."
In his remarks, Hon. Shamsu Sule of the Northwest Development Commission commended Dandutse’s efforts and challenged other senators from Katsina and neighboring states to match his level of dedication. He also praised Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for his transformative leadership in Katsina State.
