The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has extended his felicitations to Muslim faithful in Bauchi and beyond on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and the celebration of this year’s Eid-El Fitr.

The Speaker emphasised that Eid is not just a time for celebration but also a period for sober reflection, reconnecting with relatives, and upholding the valuable lessons learned during Ramadan.

He urged everyone to sustain the spirit of brotherhood, philanthropy, forgiveness, and prayers for the country, which are key virtues emphasized during Ramadan.

In a Sallah message issued by his media aide, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, the Speaker stressed the importance of letting go of grievances, rejecting violence, and steering clear of tribalism despite the challenges facing the country.

Dangaladiman Ningi expressed optimism that the current issues of inflation, insecurity, unemployment, youth restiveness, and corruption would soon be overcome.

"This year’s Ramadan fasting came at a time of economic hardship, particularly for the common citizens. However, despite these difficulties, people remained steadfast in their prayers. This dedication should be sustained. Nigerians must embrace one another and always prioritize the nation's interests.

"Most importantly, extending a helping hand to those in dire need, irrespective of faith, region, or ethnicity, is essential for the country's overall progress.

"Citizens should never encourage or engage in jungle justice; rather, they should report suspicious activities or individuals to the appropriate authorities," the Speaker advised.

Abubakar commended the Bauchi State government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.

He urged the people to continue supporting and praying for the Governor as he works towards restoring the state’s lost glory.

The Legislative Head also appreciated the fatherly roles of the Emirs, acknowledging their efforts in preserving cultural heritage, fostering unity, driving societal transformation, and promoting skills acquisition, all of which contribute to a better society.
