Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has urged citizens to continue living in peace and love while praying for the progress of the state and the nation.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah on successfully completing the Ramadan fast, emphasizing that "Ramadan encapsulates Almighty Allah's commandment to draw closer to Him through self-denial and moderation."
He highlighted Ramadan as a time for Muslims to strengthen their relationship with Allah while promoting sacrifice, charity, and love. “Our government is committed to fostering peaceful coexistence. I urge Muslims to uphold these values beyond Ramadan to help build a prosperous and peaceful Adamawa State,” he stated.
Governor Fintiri called on Muslims to apply the lessons learned during Ramadan by showing love and supporting the less privileged, following the example of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). “When citizens adhere to the teachings of the holy books, peace and tranquility prevail. Ramadan is a time for seeking Allah’s blessings and practicing love, peace, and sacrifice,” he added.
The governor prayed for Allah’s continued blessings, protection, and rewards for the faithful, appreciating their commitment to faith and sacrifice. “Thank you for keeping the faith and making personal sacrifices as commanded by Almighty Allah,” he concluded.
