Prof. Bello Yusuf Jamoh, the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Health Care Board, recently embarked on a series of official visits to primary healthcare centers in Kaduna State to evaluate the progress of ongoing work and identify areas for improvement.

These visits also provided expert guidance to ensure the successful implementation of the Kaduna State Government’s healthcare revitalization initiative.

The visits, which took place from Thursday to Sunday, March 23, 2025, aimed to assess the progress of the ongoing revitalization of healthcare facilities in the state—a flagship project initiated by Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.

Accompanied by the board’s management team, Prof. Jamoh conducted on-the-spot assessments of primary healthcare centers in Rigasa, Kabala Doki, Mando, Rafin-Guza, and Maraban Jos.

As a qualified medical doctor, the Executive Secretary used the opportunity to examine patients at the clinics, demonstrating his commitment to hands-on assessment and patient-centered care. This approach underscores the Kaduna State Government’s dedication to providing top-quality healthcare services to its citizens.

Speaking to newsmen during the visit, Prof. Jamoh emphasized that the revitalization project, spearheaded by Governor Uba Sani, seeks to transform the healthcare landscape in the state.

"By upgrading facilities, equipment, and personnel, the project aims to improve healthcare outcomes, reduce morbidity and mortality rates, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents," he said.

"The PHC management’s official visit to these facilities was a crucial step in evaluating the project's progress, identifying areas for improvement, and providing expert guidance to ensure its successful implementation.

"It also underscores the state government's commitment to collaboration and excellence in healthcare delivery," he added.

The Executive Secretary assured residents of significant improvements in the quality and accessibility of healthcare services. He highlighted that with healthcare experts at the helm and the government’s dedication to the sector, Kaduna State is poised for a brighter future in healthcare delivery.
