The Edo Community Association in Kano has strongly condemned the recent mob attack in Uromi, Edo State, where a group of hunters passing through the area were brutally attacked and killed.
In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Philip Tomoh, the association called on security agencies to take swift action and ensure justice is served.
“We stand with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, in condemning the violent mob attack by hoodlums in Uromi on March 27, 2025,” the statement read.
The association urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. “We call on the security agencies to diligently investigate this incident and ensure that those responsible face the full weight of the law,” it added.
Expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives, the association also offered prayers for peace and unity in Nigeria. “During this Holy Month of Ramadan, we pray that Almighty Allah accepts our prayers and grants peace to our nation,” the statement concluded.
