Saudi Arabia has officially announced the sighting of the crescent moon, which will mark the beginning of Shawwal and the end of Ramadan.
As a result, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The announcement was made on Saturday via the official social media page of Haramain, stating:
“The crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid al-Fitr will be observed on Sunday, March 30, 2025.”
The sighting of the Shawwal moon signals the conclusion of Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting observed by Muslims across the world.
