The former North-East Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs. Fatima Danjuma, has called on political leaders to prioritise economic transformation and create more job opportunities for Nigerians.
Mrs. Danjuma made the call while responding to questions from journalists in Bauchi.
She acknowledged the current global economic challenges but said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had continued to implement reforms aimed at transforming the nation's economy through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to her, the administration's economic policies reflect responsible leadership and demonstrate the government's commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
She urged Nigerians to remain patient and prayerful, expressing confidence that the ongoing reforms would lead to economic stability and sustainable development.
Mrs. Danjuma also appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu's administration and back his re-election bid in the 2027 general elections, expressing optimism that the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to deliver positive results.
She further called on the electorate in Bauchi State to support former Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar in the 2027 elections, describing his candidacy as another opportunity to restore hope and accelerate development in the state.
Reflecting on the 2023 general elections, Mrs. Danjuma said she worked tirelessly for President Tinubu's victory despite being involved in a road accident during the campaign period. She added that she has fully recovered and is ready to continue campaigning for the APC.
She also prayed for the continued success of the APC at all levels of government, reaffirming her loyalty to the party and its leadership.
Mrs. Danjuma said she remains committed to the ideals and principles of the APC, noting that democratic governance thrives on dedication, responsible leadership, and sustained public support.
