Rt. Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad (Babawo), the Deputy National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Northwest zone and Chairman of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NASREA), has distributed food aid to residents of Sabon Gari Local Government Area in Kaduna State.
The distribution event, held at his residence in GRA, Sabon Gari, was attended by APC ward leaders, community members, and key political figures.
The Chairman of the Kaduna State Association of Local Government Chairmen (ALGON), Hon. Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru, officially flagged off the distribution on behalf of Babawo.
In his remarks, Samaru praised Babawo for his continued support in Kaduna State, particularly in assisting the people during critical times. He described the food aid as a timely intervention, especially during Ramadan.
He also commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his commitment to improving the welfare of the people, stating, "We are witnessing progress under the leadership of Senator Uba Sani, and we pray for his success in future elections."
Reports from the event confirmed that Babawo distributed at least 2,000 bags of rice, weighing 50kg and 25kg, to help ease the economic burden on residents.
One of the beneficiaries, Malama Aisha from Anguwan Muciya, expressed her gratitude, offering prayers for Babawo, Senator Uba Sani, Hon. Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru, and other APC leaders who contributed to the initiative.
This gesture underscores Babawo’s commitment to supporting the people of Kaduna State, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
