The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has assured the former Local Government Secretaries that his administration would never forget their active contributions to the development of the state.
He stated this when he received the former secretaries on a courtesy visit at Government House Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.
The governor assured that their contributions to the progress of Kebbi State remained indelible in the history of the state.
Dr Idris, therefore, insisted that some of the secretaries would be returned and considered for other political appointments.
"I must confess that I am satisfied with your performance in office, therefore, I am considering carrying some of you along to give you a sense of belonging.
"How can I forget your contributions to the development of our dear state. However, I must make it clear that not all of you will return but others will be surely given another opportunity to serve in my government," he assured.
Responding, the leader of the team and former Local Government Secretary, Alhaji Umar Mohammed-Gulumbe told the governor that they were in Government House to for Sallah and Ramadan homage.
He added that the essence of the visit was also to show solidarity and to assure him of their commitment to support of his government.
"We are here to pay Sallah homage and to show solidarity to your government, especially considering what you been doing to the good people of Kebbi State in terms of projects execution and human capital development.
"We are pleased with what you are doing to develop the entire state. It's on record that you have changed the face of the State Capital from a glorified Local Government Headquarters to a real State Capital," the leader noted.
