As part of activities marking the 2025 National Police Day celebration, the Zamfara State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, PSC+, organized a free medical outreach at Sambo Secondary School, Gusau, on April 4, 2025.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the outreach featured a team of medical professionals from the Nigeria Police Force providing essential health services. These included general health consultations, screenings for HIV and Hepatitis A, B, and C, blood pressure and glucose level checks, treatment of common ailments, medication distribution, and personalized health counseling.

The program also featured health education sessions aimed at increasing awareness and prevention of common diseases.

Speaking during the event, CP Maikaba highlighted the initiative as part of the Force’s broader commitment to public service. “Beyond safeguarding lives and property, we’re committed to initiatives that directly improve community welfare. Today’s turnout demonstrates the value of such partnerships,” he said.

Participants expressed appreciation for the outreach, with many urging the Command to organize similar health programs regularly.

The Zamfara State Police Command extended its gratitude to the public, the media, and the dedicated medical personnel whose support contributed to the success of the event.

As National Police Day celebrations continue, the Command reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the bond between policing and community development.
