An Islamic cleric in Funtua has urged intending pilgrims to seek proper knowledge on performing Hajj in accordance with Islamic teachings.
Khalifa Aliyu Sa'idu Alti made the call during the opening ceremony of a four-day seminar organized by Muryar Dariqa in Funtua Local Government Area.
He emphasized that Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and therefore, it is essential for intending pilgrims to understand how to perform it properly.
“Hajj is not a form of tourism; it is an act of worship and must be carried out sincerely and correctly,” Khalifa Alti said.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Da'awa Committee of Muryar Dariqa, Ustaz Mukhtar Sulaiman, noted that this is the second edition of the seminar. He encouraged participants to pay attention and apply the knowledge they acquire during their time in the holy land.
In their respective presentations, Ustaz Aminu Inuwa Zakiru, Imam Sagir Sadisu Dukke, and Malama Amina Dalha educated participants on the correct procedures and spiritual significance of Hajj.
Similarly, Dr. Bashir Sabo from Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, delivered a paper on health care management for pilgrims while in the holy land.
