Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has congratulated two distinguished indigenes of the state, Malam Mohammed Inuwa Bello, Chairman of the Bauchi State Broadcasting Corporation and Managing Director of Eagle Radio, and Alhaji Bashi Adamu Ambi, nominated from the Lagos chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), on their conferment with the prestigious status of Fellow of the NIPR.
This fellowship is the highest professional honor conferred by the NIPR.
Governor Mohammed described the recognition as a testament to their unwavering commitment, professionalism, and outstanding contributions to the advancement of public relations in Nigeria.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, Mnipr, and made available to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday, the governor also congratulated the NIPR on the successful hosting of its Annual Conference in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The governor further extended his felicitations to other deserving recipients of the Fellowship award from across the country, describing their elevation as a beacon of inspiration for public relations professionals nationwide. He emphasised that the honor reinforces the core values of excellence, integrity, and service.
The Bauchi State Government also commended the national leadership of NIPR for maintaining the relevance and prestige of the Institute through its commitment to professional standards and ethical conduct.
Governor Mohammed noted that the success of this year’s conference reflects the Institute’s dynamic growth and its increasing impact on national development through strategic communication.
"As Bauchi State continues to invest in human capital development and in building a vibrant media and communication sector, we are proud of our sons and daughters making remarkable contributions on national and global platforms," the governor said.
Governor Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s continued commitment, support, and collaboration towards advancing public relations practice in Nigeria.
With this latest conferment, the Bauchi State Chapter of the NIPR now proudly has three Fellows: Mr. Andy Iheme, Kabiru Garba Aminu, and Alhaji Mohammed Inuwa Bello.
