The Kaduna State Government has restated its unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of children as it marked the 2025 Children’s Day with a vibrant celebration at Murtala Square, themed “Our Children, Our Future.”

Speaking on behalf of Governor Uba Sani, Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe underscored the administration’s dedication to placing children at the heart of its development agenda, declaring that “every day is children’s day in Kaduna.”

Dr. Balarabe used the occasion to spotlight key government interventions aimed at improving child welfare and education. These include the Reaching Out-of-School Children (ROOSC) programme, which promotes inclusive education, and the establishment of Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition Institutes in all three senatorial zones to equip youths with practical skills.

She called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to support the government’s efforts by ensuring children are enrolled in school and raised with strong values of discipline, respect, and responsibility.

The event was marked by colourful parades, cultural performances, and inspiring messages, reinforcing Kaduna State’s commitment to safeguarding child rights and securing a brighter future for its young population.
