The Zamfara Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed 517 personnel and 16 operational vehicles to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued to journalists in Gusau on Tuesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Isah Aliyu. He said strategic locations have been identified and marked for effective traffic management.
According to Aliyu, FRSC personnel have been stationed at identified flashpoints to provide rescue services, remove obstructions, and enforce traffic regulations.
He added that the Sector Commander, Aliyu Ma’aji, urged motorists to obey traffic rules and avoid acts that could lead to road crashes such as overspeeding, overloading, dangerous driving, and the use of mobile phones while driving.
While wishing the good people of Zamfara a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Commander also advised motorists to drive with caution, noting that “only the living can celebrate.”
