The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has donated relief materials and a cash sum of ₦5 million to victims of the recent flood disaster in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The items were presented by the Acting Managing Director of the Commission, Mr. Haruna Jimoh Gabi, and formally handed over to the Chairman of Mokwa Local Government Council in the presence of key Niger State government officials.
Representatives at the event included the Commissioners for Environment, Agriculture, Information, and Health.
The relief package includes:

Mr. Gabi stated that the gesture was part of N-HYPPADEC's mandate to provide support to communities affected by natural disasters, especially those located within hydroelectric power-producing areas.
He expressed sympathy with the victims and assured them of the Commission’s continued efforts to support recovery and resilience.
