The All Progressives Congress (APC), Bauchi State Chapter has mourned the passing of former President Muhammad Buhari, who died on Sunday evening in the United Kingdom.
In a condolence message signed by State chairman of party Alh. Muhammad A. Hassan Tilde, on Monday, the party expressed deep sorrow over the loss, described Buhari as a dedicated and selfless leader.
Tilde said "Indeed to Allah belongs what He has taken, to Him belongs what He has given, and everything has an appointed time with Him.”
"Today, our hearts are heavy with grief as we bid farewell to a charismatic leader, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), the immediate past Oresident of the Federal Republic of Nigeria," he added.
The party praised Buhari as a champion of democracy, a patriot, darling of Talakawa, and a leader who fought to keep Nigeria united, working tirelessly to stabilise nation and secure its future.
It added that Buhari's legacy will forever be etched in the collective memory of Nigerians.
"On behalf of Bauchi State APC leadership, Stakeholders and the entire members, I wish to extend our thoughts and prayers to the Buhari family, friends, and all Nigerians who have lost a dedicated leader," Tilde added.
The party prayed that "May Allah comfort you, compensate your loss and forgive your deceased loved one. And may Allah (SWT) admit Buhari into Jannati Ádnin, underneath which rivers flow, wherein he will abide forever."
