The Federal University of Education, Kontagora, has recorded an impressive 100% success rate in the recently concluded Resource Assessment Visit conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) from June 11 to 14, 2025.
This was disclosed by the university’s Director of Information and Protocol, Mr. Andrew Ibrahim, who described the achievement as a significant milestone that paves the way for the university to commence full academic operations and begin student admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the statement, candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as holders of the National Certificate in Education (NCE), are invited to apply for admission. The inaugural academic session is scheduled to begin in September 2025.

The NUC’s accreditation process ensures that universities meet minimum academic standards in areas such as programmes, staffing, physical infrastructure, and library resources. According to NUC guidelines, programmes scoring 70% and above in these four core areas are granted full accreditation.
