The Kebbi State Government has dismissed allegations made against it by the Centre for Reforms and Public Advocacy, describing them as false, malicious, and a clear display of ignorance.
In a statement responding to the claims, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, said the issues raised by the NGO were not only baseless but also lacked factual backing and failed to adhere to principles of fair hearing.
He reaffirmed that Governor Nasir Idris' administration, also known as the Kauran Gwandu administration, remains committed to inclusive governance that serves all segments of society.
“The present government under Governor Nasir Idris carries everyone along in the discharge of its responsibilities,” Idris said.
He further described the publication as a deliberate attempt to distract the governor from delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kebbi State.
According to him, “The content of the publication suggests that the centre is clearly uncomfortable with the numerous developmental projects being undertaken by the current administration.”
He urged the people of Kebbi State to disregard the allegations and continue to support the administration in its quest to fulfill its mandate effectively.
The Chief Press Secretary also expressed appreciation to citizens for their continued support and constructive feedback, which he said have contributed to the administration’s achievements over the past two years.
