The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FCNA (Katukan Yauri), has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), the government, and the people of the state on the occasion of its 34th anniversary.

In a congratulatory message, Alhaji Yelwa described this year’s celebration as particularly significant, noting that it coincides with the convening of a state security summit — a demonstration of the administration’s unwavering commitment to combating insecurity and fostering peace.

“The alignment of the anniversary celebration with a security-focused event highlights the government’s recognition that sustainable development is inseparable from a peaceful society,” he said.

According to Nura Tanko Wakili, mnipr, AfCPN, Head of Press and Public Affairs at N-HYPPADEC, Kebbi State, under the proactive leadership of Governor Idris, continues to implement strategic measures aimed at addressing security challenges, which are critical to the state’s economic and social advancement.

He stated that N-HYPPADEC, under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa (FCNA, FNIM, FNIIS), commends these efforts and reaffirms its readiness to collaborate with all stakeholders in promoting a secure, prosperous, and business-friendly environment.

“We celebrate Kebbi State’s journey of resilience and progress over the past 34 years and express our unwavering support for efforts to build a state where peace, prosperity, and unity thrive,” the statement added.

N-HYPPADEC congratulated the government and people of Kebbi State on reaching this milestone and expressed optimism for a future defined by sustainable development and enduring peace.
