The Niger State Coordinator of the Association of Female Skilled and Artisans Initiative (AOFAN), Hadiza Yunusa Ibrahim, has resigned from her position.

In a resignation letter dated August 30, 2025, and personally signed by her, Hadiza stated that her decision to step down was taken on her own volition and for personal reasons.

She recalled that she joined AOFAN in August 2024 and was immediately appointed as the state coordinator. Her position was later confirmed in September 2024 after initiating efforts to establish the organization’s framework in the state.

According to her, in a bid to promote unity and offer opportunities for collective growth among women, she supported the appointment of Aisha Asabe Takuma as AOFAN’s national representative. However, Hadiza noted that subsequent misunderstandings and false accusations strained their relationship, which ultimately influenced her decision to resign.

She also clarified that since the establishment of the group in Niger State, she had not received any financial or material support in the name of the organization and had personally funded all activities to promote its development.

Despite stepping down, Hadiza expressed pride in her contributions to the organization and wished her successor and the national leadership continued success.

"Effective today, August 30, 2025, I am stepping down as the Coordinator of AOFAN in Niger State," she stated in her letter.
