The National President of the Wushishi Old Students Association (WOSA), Dr. Zubairu Ibrahim Tswachi (Chigari of Lafiagi), on behalf of the Board of Trustees and Executive Members of the Association, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Abdulraheem Hamzat Zungeru, the pioneer principal of Government Teachers College, Wushishi.

In a condolence message, Dr. Tswachi described the late Zungeru as a distinguished educationist and a trailblazer who laid the solid foundation upon which the college grew to become a renowned centre of academic excellence and discipline.

“Alhaji Hamzat’s pioneering leadership, dedication to excellence, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds left an indelible mark on generations of students who passed through the institution,” the WOSA president said.

He further described the late principal as “a father, mentor, and exemplary administrator whose impact on the educational landscape of Niger State and beyond will never be forgotten.”

On behalf of WOSA members across the globe, the Association extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Zungeru, the education community, and the entire Niger State over what it called an irreparable loss.

“While we grieve deeply, we also celebrate the remarkable life of service and enduring legacy of Alhaji Abdulraheem Hamzat Zungeru. His contributions to education will continue to inspire generations of teachers, students, and administrators,” the statement added.

WOSA prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdaus and to give his family, former colleagues, and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
