The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday flagged off its campaign in Bomo town, Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, formally presenting the party’s flag to its candidate for the Basawa Constituency by-election, Hon. Mu’azu Mai Gidan Ruwa.

The event drew thousands of supporters, party leaders, and faithful from across the area, transforming the town into a sea of PDP colours as crowds waved flags, sang solidarity songs, and chanted slogans in a show of unity and readiness ahead of the polls.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Mu’azu expressed gratitude to the people for their unwavering support and vowed to provide honest and accountable representation that prioritises education, healthcare, and empowerment for youth and women.

“I am here today not just to represent you, but to restore the dignity of Basawa through genuine and people-focused leadership,” he said.

The campaign flag-off was attended by key PDP figures, including Sabon Gari LGA chairman Hon. Bashir Sakadadi and Bomo Ward chairman Hon. Bashir Matawalle, who urged members to remain united and work tirelessly for victory.

The rally ended peacefully, reinforcing the party’s confidence in securing success in the forthcoming by-election.
