The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Niger State, Hon. Fatima Adamu, has officially handed over the affairs of the ministry to the Permanent Secretary, Mallam Habib Abdulkadir, following the dissolution of the State Executive Council by Governor Umar Bago.
At the brief handover ceremony, Hon. Fatima Adamu expressed her profound gratitude to Governor Bago for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet. She also extended appreciation to her colleagues in the State Executive Council for their support and cooperation throughout her tenure, which, she said, enabled her to record notable achievements.
The outgoing commissioner thanked her political aides for their loyalty and commitment, and commended the ministry’s management staff—especially Permanent Secretary Mallam Habib Abdulkadir—for their professionalism, mentorship, and harmonious working relationship.
In his remarks, Mallam Habib Abdulkadir praised Hon. Fatima Adamu for her dedication and impressive performance, noting that the ministry recorded significant progress under her leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the ministry’s staff, he thanked the former commissioner for her collaborative spirit and prayed for Allah’s continued guidance and protection in her future endeavors.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism pledged to consolidate on the solid foundation laid by Hon. Fatima Adamu in promoting and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Niger State.
