Governor Umar Namadi has received the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, who paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House in Dutse.
The delegation, led by the State Deputy Chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Dahiru Jahun, comprised members of the State Executive Committee and chairmen of the party from all 27 local government areas.
Speaking during the visit, Alhaji Jahun said they were at the Government House to reaffirm their loyalty to Governor Namadi, whom they described as the undisputed leader of the APC in Jigawa State.
He stated that the party leadership remains firmly behind both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Namadi, endorsing them for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party executives also lauded Governor Namadi’s administration for what they called “a remarkable transformation and unprecedented achievements within just two years,” describing his tenure as historic in Jigawa’s development trajectory.
Jahun added that the party would not hesitate to discipline any member whose actions threaten the unity of the party or show disrespect to its leadership.
“Our loyalty to the governor is like that of the comic character Maha to his teacher—without question, whatever Malam says, we shall do; and wherever he leads, we shall follow,” Jahun stated.
In his response, Governor Namadi expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for their show of solidarity. He assured them of continued collaboration between his administration and the party, reaffirming his commitment to fairness and inclusivity in dealing with party members across the state.
The governor also noted that both federal and state governments under the APC remain committed to people-centred policies and developmental projects. He said his administration’s 12-point agenda aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, both of which emphasise sustainable development and the welfare of citizens.
