President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the appointment of three new heads of federal agencies.
According to a statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, the appointments take effect in September 2025.
At the National Biosafety Management Agency, the President appointed Bello Bawa Bwari from Niger State as the new Director-General for an initial term of four years, effective September 18, 2025, in line with Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act, 2015.
In the Investment and Securities Tribunal, Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu from Zamfara State was appointed as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term, also effective September 18, 2025.
Similarly, Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan was named the new Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation for an initial four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.
The Presidency noted that the appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening key sectors and institutions across the country.
The President urged the appointees to bring their expertise to bear in advancing the mandates of their respective agencies for the overall good of the nation.
