Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Kwara, widely known as Unkuji and revered for his expertise in aiding law enforcement agencies in combating armed robbery and other violent crimes across Nigeria, has issued a firm warning to miscreant youths terrorising residents in Azare, Bauchi State.

In a public statement, Magajin Ali Kwara disclosed that he has recently received multiple distress calls from concerned residents of Azare over the growing menace of juvenile delinquency. These include incidents of phone snatching, burglary, shop looting, and unlawful home invasions carried out by groups of young miscreants.

Unkuji, who is known for his no-nonsense approach to crime fighting, cautioned the perpetrators to immediately desist from such criminal conduct or face the full force of the law. He vowed to treat both petty and hardened criminals alike, stating unequivocally that anyone caught engaging in criminal activities would be brought to justice, regardless of age or background.

He further admonished parents and guardians for their failure to instil discipline and moral values in their children, blaming unchecked parental leniency for the rise in youth criminality. “Parents have abandoned their God-given responsibility. They prioritise emotional attachment over discipline, and refuse to tell their children the hard truths,” he stated.

Addressing potential interference from family members during arrests, Unkuji warned that any relative who attempts to intervene on behalf of an apprehended youth would also be treated as an accomplice. “If any father or uncle comes to my house to plead for a miscreant, he should be prepared to face the consequences as well,” he asserted.

Unkuji also revealed that his team is currently engaged in coordinated security operations across several states, targeting criminal syndicates involved in armed robbery and gun violence. He noted that significant progress is being made in neutralising these threats.

In a renewed effort to restore order in Azare, Unkuji pledged to intensify crackdowns on the illegal sale and consumption of narcotics and other substances commonly abused by youths, including cannabis and hard drugs. He emphasised that dealers and users alike would be held accountable.

Concluding his remarks, Unkuji appealed to the misguided youths to renounce violence, surrender their weapons, and embrace vocational training or entrepreneurship. He stressed that if lack of opportunity was the cause of their actions, they should present themselves for rehabilitation, promising to provide them with startup capital and mentorship to reintegrate them as responsible members of society.

“Peace and security are non-negotiable,” he said. “Azare must not become a haven for criminality. Anyone who chooses to test our resolve will have only themselves to blame.”

Currently, Azare is grappling with rising insecurity due to the activities of youth gangs engaged in theft, housebreaking, and assault. The call for proactive community action and collaboration with security stakeholders has never been more urgent.
