ATBUTH Bauchi was named Best Federal Health Institution in Innovative Use of Technology, while Prof. Jibrin received the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award for his leadership and contributions to digital transformation in Nigeria’s health sector.
Confirming the development in a statement on Saturday, the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Usman Abdullahi Koli, said the awards reflected the hospital’s “remarkable achievements in digital transformation, healthcare delivery, and institutional modernisation.”
“This recognition is a testament to the visionary leadership of Professor Yusuf Bara Jibrin and the collective efforts of the entire ATBUTH team,” Koli stated. “It reaffirms our commitment to innovation and excellence in service to humanity.”

He pledged to sustain excellence in healthcare delivery, research, and digital innovation in line with the Federal Government’s digital transformation agenda.
The event, organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) under the Presidency, brought together top government officials, policymakers, and innovators from across the country.
Accompanying the CMD to the Presidential Villa were members of his family and the hospital’s Director of Administration, Muhammad Jibrin Gamawa, who joined in celebrating the feat.
