The Member representing Lere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Munir (Sardaunan Saminaka), has commended the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, for approving a new salary structure for staff of the state’s tertiary institutions.
The new structure covers Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria; Shehu Idris College of Health Sciences and Technology, Makarfi; and the College of Education, Gidan Waya.
Hon. Munir, in a statement issued on Friday, described the Governor’s approval as a landmark achievement that reflects his deep commitment to fairness, justice, and the welfare of workers across the state.
He said the affected institutions had been agitating for salary adjustments for over 15 years, adding that Governor Sani’s intervention demonstrates his determination to correct long-standing injustices and inspire educators who play critical roles in shaping the future.
“The Governor’s decision is not only timely but also a clear demonstration of his compassion and dedication to improving the lives of Kaduna State workers,” Munir said.
He added that the development underscores the Governor’s broader vision of revitalizing the education sector as a key pillar of social and economic growth in the state.
According to him, the new salary regime will boost staff morale, enhance productivity, and improve the overall quality of teaching and learning in tertiary institutions.
The lawmaker congratulated the staff and management of the benefiting institutions, urging them to reciprocate the government’s goodwill through renewed commitment, diligence, and support for the Governor’s people-centered policies.
Hon. Munir also reaffirmed his loyalty and continued support for Governor Uba Sani’s administration, describing him as “a leader who listens, acts, and delivers on the aspirations of the people of Kaduna State.”
