The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Dr. Auwal Mustapha Imam, has received the Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), Mr. Ben S. D. Kure, and his management team on a courtesy visit to his office in Zaria.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Kure explained that the purpose of their engagement was to establish a strategic media partnership with NILEST to promote the institute’s research, training, and innovation activities to a wider audience. He noted that NILEST’s achievements and initiatives have not been adequately publicized in mainstream media over the years.

According to the statement, Mr. Kure stated that KSMC was ready to roll out modalities for a strategic partnership using its various media platforms to enhance NILEST’s visibility and impact. “This collaboration will create greater awareness about your organization’s activities and add value to both institutions and the communities we jointly serve,” he said.
In his response, Dr. Imam expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the KSMC team of his readiness to collaborate on television and radio documentaries to promote the institute’s achievements, particularly as he marks his first year in office on October 29, 2025.
The visit, according to the statement, reflects a shared commitment by both institutions to strengthen public engagement, promote innovation, and support national development through effective media collaboration.
