The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Leather and Science Technology Institute (NILEST), Dr. Auwal Mustapha Imam, has returned to Nigeria following a two-week working visit to China. Since his arrival, the DG has continued with a series of official engagements in Abuja.
On Tuesday, Dr. Imam attended a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN), at the minister’s conference room. The session was convened for Directors-General of agencies under the ministry to brief the minister on their activities and ongoing programmes.
Dr. Imam delivered a detailed presentation on NILEST’s progress, mandate and ongoing projects. He also presented a souvenir to the minister. In response, Dr. Udeh commended the DG for his leadership and the strides NILEST is making toward strengthening innovation, science and technology in Nigeria.
