The Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sanusi Mika’ilu Sami, Sami Gomo III, has extended warm congratulations to the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera, on the 29th anniversary of his accession to the throne.
In a goodwill message signed by Abdullahi Idris Zuru, Sadaukin Zuru, the Emir felicitated with the council and people of Argungu, praising Emir Mera for his exemplary leadership and contributions to the development of the emirate and Kebbi State at large.
Emir Sanusi highlighted Emir Mera’s efforts in transforming the Argungu Annual Fishing and Cultural Festival into an internationally recognised event, which has promoted agro-allied businesses and celebrated the region’s cultural heritage. He commended the positive socio-economic impact of Emir Mera’s purposeful leadership on the people of Argungu.
The Zuru monarch also prayed for Emir Mera’s continued good health and wisdom, offering guidance and support in the discharge of his duties.
Emir Samaila Muhammad Mera, who succeeded his late father, Alhaji Muhammadu Mera, was turbaned as Emir of Argungu in 1994 and has since played a pivotal role in elevating the status of the emirate both nationally and internationally.
