The Minister of Environment, Mallam Balarabe Lawal Abbas, has lost his mother, Hajiya Dayyabatu Lawal Aliyu.

She passed away on Sunday evening at her residence in Bambale, Zaria City, after a prolonged illness.

Late Hajiya Dayyabatu was 93 years old and is survived by four children and several grandchildren.

The funeral prayer was held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Bambale, Zaria City.
