This is an account of the contributions of a lady of substance whose leadership prowess, skills, enterprise, resourcefulness, successes and achievements have been harnessed together for the benefit of humanity”.
“At the onset of ADDA Girl Education Foundation, initiated by Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa OFR, CFR and retired President of the Court of Appeal, most of the people were less optimistic, that Justice Zainab who initiated the project, had all the required credentials to deliver positive educational service to the Girl Child.
The Foundation has a clear vision for a society where every girl will have access to quality education so as to facilitate and promote their leadership development through evidence-based policy advocacy, behavioral change, economic linkages and strategic partnerships.
What is now on the ground is the image and stewardship of a great achiever, and an exemplary patriot, who prevailed even on the doubting Thomas, that she is divinely anointed. Barely few years into her pet project, it’s clear to even the most jaundiced critic that Justice Zainab has been the awaited messiah of the Girl Child education and probably beyond the boundaries of the feminine”.
“Justice Zainab, just like past nationalists who labored to serve Nigeria, is a leader with uncommon courage, focus and zeal”.
Courage has been described as the 6th sense, without which one can do very little with the remaining five. Zainab’s capacity to remove the discrepancy between fantasy and actuality, to turn visions into reality, to approximate theories into practice with the required tools, is without parallel.
Honesty and sincerity of purpose is the guiding principle of the ADDA Girl Education Foundation. Since when it came on board, the Foundation remains committed to imbibing the teachings and practice of fairness, equity and natural justice that are universally applicable in the running of the affairs of the Foundation.
The Foundation is making concerted efforts to reduce illiteracy to the barest minimum within its mandate; and there is evidence that rendered support and services to the success of the Foundation has surfaced to the commendation of all. There is glaring evidence of feedback mechanism for assessing user satisfaction of ADDA Girl Education Foundation services.
Several scholars have studied the modus operandi of the Foundation under the leadership of Hajia Samira Galadima. This has given the public a vivid description of the Foundation’s vision implementation and management.
Galadima said: “The Foundation has put- in- place an objective to build a new set of female leaders are empowered with adequate education and leadership skills for positive change in national affairs. It has also developed new chart to adopt girls from pro-poor communities through an established selection process for access to quality education and soft skills to prepare them for the labour market.
By this method, the Foundation is not only gaining recognition and commendations, but successfully controlling the escalation of idealness and illiteracy within its mandate and areas of operation.
“The Foundation believes that sincerity of purpose, determination and careful planning are part of “divinity and Almighty God’s instructions. When adhered to, brings peace of mind and heart, peace with Allah (SWT) and respect before vast assembly of men and women”. The virtues of prudence, transparency and accountability are part and parcel of the main ingredients of purposeful leadership.
“Justice Zainab is keeping to her commitment that ADDA Girl Education Foundation will continue to be based on the cherished values of probity, transparency, accountability and the rule of law. To adhere strictly to prudent management of funds, she has implored her lieutenants to commit themselves “to the resolute pursuit of the principle of honesty, transparency and selfless disposition as enjoined by the sacred teachings of the Holy religions”.
Within its short stay, the Foundation has built partnerships with both the public and private sectorsto leverage shared values to bridge gender gaps and to secure a bright and promising future for girls.
