President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s unwavering resolve to confront terrorism and insecurity across Nigeria, pledging that the country will prevail against criminal elements threatening national stability.
In a statement issued from the Presidency, the President said Nigeria remains steadfast in its determination to engage global partners and protect its interests on the international stage. He emphasized that the country’s foreign policy will continue to be guided by calm, clarity, and purpose, as Nigeria asserts its presence among the community of nations.
“Security is non-negotiable, and we will never compromise on this principle,” Tinubu declared, stressing that the government is committed to decisively defeating terrorism, which has plagued parts of the nation for nearly two decades. He called on Nigeria’s allies to remain firm in their support as the country intensifies its counter-terrorism operations, noting that significant progress has already been made in the last two years.
The President described Nigeria as “one united family” determined to rise above its challenges, adding that his administration will continue to consolidate ongoing reforms to ensure prosperity and inclusiveness for all citizens. “We will spare no effort and leave no stone unturned in our mission to eliminate criminals from our society,” he affirmed.
Tinubu also reaffirmed Nigeria’s role as a dependable global ally and a steady voice for peace and stability. He extended appreciation to the men and women of the armed forces and intelligence community for their courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation.
“To the brave men and women of our armed forces and intelligence community who serve fearlessly, fight side-by-side, and sometimes pay the ultimate price, we express our deepest gratitude. Your commitment is our strength in the fight against terror,” the President said.
He assured Nigerians that his administration’s focus on security, unity, and economic growth would remain unwavering, as the nation moves forward with renewed determination and hope.
