The Youth Wing of the African Action Congress (AAC) has extended Christmas greetings to Christians across Nigeria and beyond, urging young people to remain committed to the ideals of justice, accountability and people-centred governance.
In a goodwill message issued by the National Youth Leader of the party, Comrade Yahaya M. Abdullahi, the group said Christmas represents the enduring values of love, sacrifice, compassion and hope—values it described as essential in the face of current national challenges.
The statement noted that many young Nigerians continue to battle unemployment, insecurity and economic hardship, adding that the season should serve as a reminder of the need for solidarity and resilience.
“As young people, we remain the heartbeat of our nation. We must keep championing the ideals of justice, accountability, equality, and people-centred governance,” Abdullahi said, while calling for renewed commitment to building a Nigeria where dignity and opportunity are guaranteed for all citizens irrespective of tribe or religion.
He expressed hope that the Christmas season would bring peace to families, unity to communities and renewed strength for the journey ahead, while expressing optimism for a new year marked by progress and collective victory for Nigerians.
The AAC Youth Leader concluded by wishing Christians a peaceful celebration and praying for God’s blessings upon the country.
