The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Leather and Science Technology (NILEST), Dr Auwal Mustapha Imam, has congratulated Christians across the country on the celebration of Christmas.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday through his Personal Assistant on Media and Communication, Nuhu Basheer Masa, Dr. Imam described the season as a significant period of reflection for the Christian community as they commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
He called for peaceful coexistence among members of staff of the Institute and Nigerians in general, stressing that unity remains essential for national growth and development.
The NILEST helmsman also urged Christians to use the festive period to pray for the progress of the country and for its leaders at all levels.
“As you enjoy the festivities with friends and families, as you give and receive gifts and gather to celebrate, please accept my best wishes for a safe and enjoyable Christmas,” the statement quoted him as saying.
Dr. Imam further extended Christmas greetings to all NILEST staff and Nigerians.
