President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing his death as a profound loss to Nigeria.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, a highly respected cleric and spiritual leader, was born in 1927 and passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.
Speaking during the visit, President Tinubu said the late scholar’s life was defined by humility, selfless service and unwavering dedication to the propagation of Islam and peaceful coexistence. He noted that Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi’s influence transcended religious and regional boundaries, earning him respect across the country.
The President prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, asking that he be granted eternal rest, while also offering words of comfort to the bereaved family.
