High Chief Tamaraumiyensinde Collins Oturubo has expressed profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty, King S.P. Luke Kalanama VIII, for conferring on him the chieftaincy title of Amabalamowei of the ancient Akugbene Mein Kingdom.

The chieftaincy ceremony, which took place on December 30, 2025, in Akugbene town, marked a significant moment in the history of the kingdom and in the life of High Chief Oturubo, an illustrious son of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

In a statement of appreciation, High Chief Oturubo described gratitude as a defining human virtue and the foundation of progress and success. He noted that the reign of King S.P. Luke Kalanama VIII has been characterised by wisdom, understanding and leadership that have brought honour and dignity to the Akugbene Mein Kingdom.
He extended special appreciation to High Chief Kestin Pondi, the Ibe-Benemowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Owena of the Ozoro Kingdom, whose recommendation, he said, played a critical role in the conferment of the title. Oturubo described High Chief Pondi as a symbol of selfless leadership and progress, commending his efforts in creating opportunities for others through his role as Managing Director of Tantita Security Services.

The newly installed Amabalamowei also thanked High Chief Tare Pondi, General Manager of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, for his endorsement and support, noting that the contributions of both brothers were instrumental to the success of the process.

Reflecting on the significance of the title, High Chief Oturubo said Amabalamowei symbolises one who brings joy, happiness and unity to the people and the kingdom. He pledged to carry the title with responsibility, serve the people diligently and contribute meaningfully to the peace, happiness and development of Akugbene Mein Kingdom.
He also expressed gratitude to God for life and the opportunity to serve, as well as to family members, friends and well-wishers who accompanied him to Akugbene for the ceremony. He gave special recognition to High Chief Boro Opudu and members of the Oturubo family for their support.

High Chief Oturubo concluded by praying for continued wisdom and blessings for the monarch, while reaffirming his commitment to upholding the dignity and values of the Akugbene Mein Kingdom.
