The Tsangaya Support Transformation & Empowerment Initiative has approved the appointment of Gwani Ibrahim Mai Bindiga Hadejia as its National President.
The decision was taken at a meeting held on Tuesday at the Naicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja, which brought together senior Islamic scholars and Qur’anic teachers from across the country.
According to the association, the appointment aligns with its mandate to advocate for the welfare, empowerment, and protection of the rights of Almajiri pupils through constructive engagement with relevant government authorities and stakeholders.
In his acceptance remarks, the newly appointed president expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity and appealed to members for unity and full support, stressing the need to intensify efforts toward improving the lives and educational development of Almajirai nationwide.
