The Huffazul Qur’an and Scholars Association of Nigeria has congratulated the Governor of Niger State, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, on the occasion of his 52nd birthday, celebrated on February 22, 2026.
In a birthday message issued by the Niger State Chairman of the association, Gwani Hussaini Abubakar Shakwata, the group described Governor Bago as a selfless, compassionate, visionary and diligent leader with uncommon energy and determination.
Gwani Hussaini said the governor has demonstrated remarkable capacity and commitment to building a new and prosperous Niger State for the benefit of its residents.
According to him, Governor Bago’s pragmatic approach to governance continues to inspire both the young and the old, including critics, noting that his leadership has become a reference point for infrastructural development in the state.
The association observed that the ongoing large-scale projects being initiated and implemented across Niger State reflect what it described as unprecedented strides in development, expressing optimism that posterity would be kind to the governor.
While joining family members, friends and associates to celebrate the governor’s birthday, the chairman prayed for long life, sound health, wisdom and renewed strength for him to continue steering the affairs of the state towards holistic and sustainable development.
The association also called on the people of Niger State to unite in promoting peace, economic growth and overall development, urging continued support for the administration.
“As an elected governor who does not discriminate and remains committed to good deeds, he deserves the support of all citizens,” the statement added.
Gwani Hussaini further expressed gratitude to God for blessing the state with what he described as a dedicated and patriotic leader committed to transforming Niger State through his skills and vision.
