As Muslims around the world prepare to bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, an aspirant for the Yobe State House of Assembly seat representing Fika East Constituency under the banner of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Muhammed Ali Tanimu, has launched a humanitarian outreach through the distribution of food items to members of his constituency.
The initiative forms part of the aspirant’s community support programme aimed at providing relief to residents during the closing days of Ramadan. The intervention saw the distribution of essential food commodities to numerous households in an effort to cushion the prevailing economic challenges facing the community.
Addressing beneficiaries during the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Muhammed Ali Tanimu expressed appreciation to the people of Fika East for what he described as their unwavering political support and confidence in his leadership aspirations.
He noted that the sustained encouragement from constituents has further strengthened his resolve to pursue the mandate to represent Fika East in the Yobe State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, should he secure the opportunity.
The aspirant also offered prayers for continued peace, unity, and socio-political stability within the constituency and across the state.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke during the exercise commended the initiative, describing the intervention as timely and impactful, particularly as the Muslim faithful conclude the Ramadan fasting period.
