The Islamic movement, under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), today Sunday 1st March, 2026, organised nationwide solidarity protests across several states, reaffirming its unfluctuating commitment to justice and its firm support for oppressed peoples, particularly the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The protests were held in major cities, including Abuja, Zaria, Illela, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi, Azare, Saminaka, Potiskum, Nguru, Minna, Katsina, Yola, Suleja in Niger State, and Lafia in Nasarawa State, among others. The demonstrations were accompanied by special prayer sessions (du’a) in various locations, where participants prayed for victory, strength, and relief for oppressed peoples across the world.

According to a statement signed and released by the Media Forum of the movement on Sunday stated that, during the protests, the movement also commiserated with the Muslim Ummah, especially the Iranian people, over the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamene’i. The movement described his martyrdom as a great loss to the Muslim Ummah and all those who stand for justice and resistance against oppression.

Participants carried placards and chanted slogans expressing their firm solidarity, declaring their readiness to continue standing against injustice and oppression wherever it occurs. The movement emphasised that its struggle is rooted in defending truth, justice, and the dignity of the Muslim Ummah.

The Islamic movement reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian people, describing their struggle as a just resistance against oppression. The movement maintained that Iran has the full right to its sovereignty and its legitimate right to defend itself against any form of aggression.

The movement also strongly condemned United States and Israeli aggression against Iran, stressing that such actions violate international law and represent unjust hostility against a sovereign nation.

The Islamic movement declared that it will continue its lawful struggle in solidarity with the oppressed and will not relent in its support for justice and resistance against oppression.
