The Late Ibrahim Bello (SAKIB) Foundation of the Sarkin Katsinan Gusau has held meetings of its Board of Trustees (BoT), Management, and Central Working Committee (CWC).
The Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Abdulqadir Ibrahim Bello, is the Founder and Grand Patron of the foundation established in honour of his late father.

In a statement issued in Gusau, the Secretary of the foundation, Alhaji Hassan Abdul Gusau, said the meetings brought together participants from various stakeholder groups to finalise strategic planning documents centred on four key pillars: education, health, investment, and humanitarian services.

He said the initiative is aimed at benefiting vulnerable populations within the Gusau Emirate, Zamfara State, and Nigeria at large.
Those in attendance included BoT members such as Alhaji Malami Sarkin Pawa Gusau, Arc. Abubakar Abdu Gusau, Alhaji Muhammadu Janjunan Anka, Alhaji Bashir Muhammad Nalado, and Alhaji Bello Balarabe Gusau, among others. Also present were members of the foundation’s management and the Central Working Committee.
The foundation was established to uphold and extend the legacies of the late emir, particularly in the areas of healthcare, education, and humanitarian support.

According to the statement, the foundation’s mission is to provide humanitarian assistance through healthcare interventions, educational empowerment, and comprehensive support for orphans and other vulnerable groups, while fostering partnerships that create lasting community impact.

It added that the foundation is committed to collaborating with stakeholders to deliver meaningful contributions in education, healthcare, humanitarian services, and community development for the benefit of present and future generations.

The statement further noted that the foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-sectarian organisation dedicated to advancing charitable objectives in line with the vision and values of the late emir.
“To achieve its objectives, the foundation will collaborate with government agencies, development partners, corporate organisations, and non-governmental organisations,” the statement said.
Among its core objectives, the foundation seeks to promote education through scholarships, provision of learning materials, mentorship, and skills development for indigent students.

It also aims to advance healthcare initiatives, including medical outreaches, support for vulnerable individuals, and regular public awareness programmes.

In addition, the foundation is focused on community development and poverty alleviation through empowerment, training, and social welfare programmes, as well as the provision of charitable and humanitarian services to widows, orphans, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups.
