The Nigeria Union of Mines Workers (NUMW) has appointed its Deputy National Treasurer, Comrade Adamu Musa Nasko, as the officer in charge of the union’s affairs in Kaduna State.
The appointment was contained in a document dated April 10, 2026, and jointly signed by the union’s National President, Hamza Muhammad, and General Secretary, Mustapha M. G. Yahaya.
According to the statement, the decision follows the dissolution and suspension of the previous acting Executive Council after the expiration of its tenure, in line with the union’s constitution.
The document further stated that the newly appointed officer will oversee the union’s activities in Kaduna State, with the mandate to mobilise, recruit, and organise members within the union’s jurisdiction.
The union urged the appointee to carry out his responsibilities with dedication and to apply the necessary skills to move the organisation forward.
