The Federal College of Veterinary and Medical Laboratory Technology has recorded another major achievement as the institution was honoured with the prestigious Corporate Ethics and Integrity Compliance Award by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation, an international organisation committed to promoting ethical leadership, accountability, transparency, and integrity in public and corporate institutions.

The award, presented on May 19, 2026, followed a successful assessment and evaluation of the college’s corporate ethics and integrity compliance standards for the 2025 assessment year.

According to the award citation, FCVMLT, Vom, was recognised as a functional, publicly accessible, and ethically driven institution that continues to meet the aspirations and expectations of citizens through dependable leadership and responsible administration.

The recognition reflects the quality of leadership and administrative reforms currently being implemented at the college under the stewardship of the Provost, Dr. Chukwu O. O. Chukwu.

The institution was particularly commended for demonstrating ethical standards, institutional accountability, professionalism, transparency, and dedication to service delivery in line with global best practices.

The Corporate Ethics and Integrity Compliance Award further positions FCVMLT, Vom, among institutions committed to promoting integrity, discipline, and responsible governance within Nigeria’s educational and public service sectors. The college reportedly attained an impressive cumulative score of 75 per cent during the assessment exercise conducted by CESVO.

The achievement has been described as a source of pride to the college community and a reinforcement of the institution’s commitment to excellence in education, research, community service, and ethical administration.

It also highlights the growing national recognition of FCVMLT, Vom, as a centre of academic excellence and integrity-driven leadership.

The management, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders of the institution congratulated the provost and the entire college community on the achievement, while expressing optimism for greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
