Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Sabon Gari Local Government Area have thrown their weight behind Hon. Sadiq Ango Abdullahi as the party’s consensus candidate for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the forthcoming primaries.

The endorsement was announced during a stakeholders’ meeting held under the leadership of the Executive Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, Hon. Sheikh Jamilu Abubakar Albani Samaru Zaria, where party leaders, elders, women and youth representatives, as well as ward stakeholders unanimously adopted Sadiq Ango Abdullahi as their preferred candidate for the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency seat.

The development comes amid the emergence of other aspirants seeking the APC ticket, including 30-year-old politician, Mahmud Sadis Buba, who recently declared his intention to contest the seat after obtaining the party’s Expression of Interest and nomination forms.

Buba, who made his declaration on Facebook, said his ambition was driven by a desire to provide purposeful representation and inclusive development for the people of the constituency.

However, APC stakeholders in Sabon Gari reaffirmed their support for Hon. Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, describing him as a loyal party member with the experience, capacity, and political structure needed to sustain effective representation and strengthen the party’s chances in the elections.

According to the stakeholders, the consensus arrangement was reached after wide consultations across wards and party structures in the local government area, stressing that unity and continuity remain key priorities for the APC in Sabon Gari.

They noted that the endorsement reflects the collective position of the party’s leadership and stakeholders, adding that members have been urged to remain united and mobilize support for all endorsed candidates during the primaries and the general elections.
