The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FCNA, FNIM, FNIIS (Katukan Yauri), has been honoured with a prestigious award at the Nigeria Public Service Lecture Series and Awards, organised by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) to commemorate the United Nations Public Service Day.
The event, held on June 23, 2026, at Nicon Luxury Hotel, was themed "Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion."
The N-HYPPADEC Managing Director was recognised for his outstanding contributions to public service delivery, institutional excellence, and sustainable community development.
Alhaji Yelwa emerged as one of the distinguished award recipients from a highly competitive pool of public servants across the country. He attended the ceremony alongside members of his family and the Commission's management team.
