President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promoted Abdul'aziz Abdul'aziz from Special Assistant to Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Enlightenment, further strengthening the Presidency's communications team.

The promotion is widely regarded as a recognition of Abdul'aziz's outstanding contributions to strategic communications, media relations, and public information management within the Presidency and Nigeria's broader media landscape.

Reacting to the development, Abdul'aziz described the elevation as both an honour and a greater call to service. He said the new role carries increased responsibilities and challenges that will require even greater dedication, professionalism, and commitment in the discharge of his duties.

He expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence and trust reposed in him, pledging to justify the confidence through diligent service. He also acknowledged the support, mentorship, and leadership of his superiors, as well as the cooperation of his colleagues within the Presidential communications team.

Abdul'aziz further extended his appreciation to his associates, professional colleagues, and other stakeholders in the media industry, noting that their encouragement, collaboration, and support have been instrumental to his accomplishments.

He disclosed that he has received his official letter of appointment, formally confirming his elevation in line with the restructuring of his office approved by President Tinubu on April 23, 2026.

The appointment underscores President Tinubu's continued confidence in Abdul'aziz's expertise and reinforces his role in advancing the administration's media, public communication, and public engagement agenda.
